There are thousands of Cognates between English and German. This is one of the strong reasons why German should be the main language taught at Primary Schools. At the start of every Zeit für Deutsch session, I introduce the children to three new cognates. Below I have created a sheet listing all of the cognates given at the start of the first 10 Zeit für Deutsch sessions. I gave the children this sheet while teaching 'Zeit für Deutsch J'.
